Wedding Planner Taia Younis Escort Cards AlbanyAssigned seating is essential to the smooth flow and comfort of wedding guests.  Escort cards are the perfect way to communicate to your guests where you’d like them to sit during the reception.  But just because they are a functional necessity, doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be an integral part of your overall event design.  A stunning escort table is the perfect way to wow your wedding guests from their first entrance and gives them a glimpse of what is to come.

First, let me the answer the question . . . What is the difference between an escort card and a place card.  Although the actual cards may look alike and serve a similar purpose, the difference is in the presentation.  Escort cards are centrally located, usually on a table, for guests to pick up.  The card directs them to the specific table where they will be seated and doesn’t specify a seat.  Place cards are “placed” at the actual guest’s seat which is a more formal presentation.  Most couples opt for simply the escort card.

Only two short months ago, the winners of 104.9  The Cat's Bridal Idol contest sponsored by Inspired Occasions were announced.  It's rare that we plan a complete wedding from start to finish in such a short period of time, but I knew this was a unique opportunity to give blog readers a glimpse into what the process is really like in a condensed period of time.  We've chronicled Erin & Matt's planning journey from the beginning in these great recap videos.

Let the planning begin

The countdown continues for Erin & Matt

Two weeks and counting

An engagement session

In the midst of all the planning and vendor appointments, my team has been hard at work with design details that are going to make this wedding spectacular!  Imagination is one of my greatest strengths as a planner and I use it to dream up details that will create an event representative of the couple's vision and style and one that is a feast for the eyes of the guests who attend.  Erin and Matt envision a fun wedding that is full of classic romance and inspired by the concept of fairytales.  For colors, the bride LOVES pink and was clear about wanting that to be the predominant color used.  On top of pink . . . silver and lots of sparkle.  Here is a bit about how we used our imagination to bring this vision to life.

InspireWant to wed in Paradise?  I know the perfect place to do it.

In the midst of a most dreary winter, I had the fantastic opportunity to spend several days in Playa del Carmen on a familiarization trip hosted by CondoHotels Playa del Carmen.

As Inspired Occasions expands its business to serve more and more destination brides, I jumped at the chance to stay in and tour these gorgeous properties, network with wedding planners in Riviera Maya and familiarize myself with all that this region has to offer those brides seeking to host their nuptials in a magical beach location.
